Actividades para el verano si se quiere


Hello Everybody!

It's the summer holidays, time to play and have lots of fun! If you get bored, here are some activities. Son las vacaciones, hora de jugar y divertirse mucho. Si os aburrís, aquí hay unas actividades:


First, I did some work on vocabulary to do with Wild animals of Europe with the three-year-olds which we didn't have time for with the three-year-olds. However, if you would like to practise this vocabulary anyway, here is the link to listen to it (This is the vocabulary which I sent in an email today.) Primero, trabajé algo de vocabulario de lo animales de Europa con los niños de cuatro, que no tuve tiempo hacer con los de cuatro. Sin embargo, si queréis trabajar este vocabulario, aquí está el enlace para escucharlo. (Este es el vocabulario que os he mandado hoy por correo electrónico.)


At the end of the recording I ask the children to touch the vocabulary in the following order:

a bear ( un oso) an owl (un buho) a wolf (un lobo) a deer (un ciervo) a fox (un zorro)  a lizard (una lagartija)




(Igual les cuesta un poco esta ultima actividad porque no lo hemos trabajado en las clases online.)

Next, a presentation about owls, which may be a little difficult because I made it for the four-year-olds. A continuación, una presentación sobre los buhos, que a lo mejor es un poco difícil porque la hice para los niños de cuatro años.

Monday 8th June

Hello everybody!

Today I'm going to make a crab from jelly. Hoy voy a hacer un cangrejo de gelatina. 
First, the jelly...primero, la gelatina. (En las instrucciones sólo se hace con agua, pero yo he usado zumo de naranja también.) También se puede comprar gelatina hecha, pero me parece una actividad fácil, divertido y una manera de ver los estados de liquido y sólido.



When the jelly has set in the fridge, we need to take it out of the mold. Cuando la gelatina ha solidificado en la nevera lo tenemos que sacar del molde.



Now I make the jelly into a crab. Ahora voy a convertir la gelatina en un cangrejo. (En principio iba a ser una medusa, por eso lo menciono en el vídeo, pero al final decidí que se parecía más a un cangrejo) 



Now our friend Caitie goes to the beach. What does she take with her? Ahora nuestra amiga Caitie va a la playa. ¿Qué lleva con ella?

Hello everybody!

Today we are going to make pasta seaweed and do a counting activity. You will need the numbers 1-6, spaghetti, pasta tubes (macaroni) plasticine and a plate. Hoy vamos a hacer algas de pasta y una actividad de conteo. Vais a necesitar espaguetis, macarrones, plastilina y un platito. Se puede cambiar el número máximo, haciéndolo más facil o difícil. 





The Octopus friends have come to see the spaghetti seaweed! ¡Los amigos pulpo han venido a ver las algas de espagueti!




Now it's time for a story. Toby the dog wants to build a house. Can you help him? Toby el perrrito quiere construir una casa, ¿Le puedes ayudar?

Now we are going to practise the sea animals vocabulary. You will need the worksheet  called 'sea creatures'  that I sent via email last week. Ahora vamos a practicar el vocabulario de los animales del mar. Necesitaréis la ficha llamada 'sea creatures' que os mandé por correo electrónico la semana pasada (22 Mayo) En el enlace siguiente podéis escuchar la grabación de estos animales.





Al final de la grabación, mando a los niños a tocar los animales en la siguiente  orden: fish ( pez) whale ( ballena) octopus ( pulpo) seahorse ( caballo de mar) dolphin ( delfín) starfish ( estrella del mar)  shark (tiburón )  crab ( cangrejo)
